Sony Reportedly Takes Over 'Wheel of Fortune,' 'Jeopardy!' Distribution Rights From CBS

11:56 AM EST, 02/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sony Group's ( SONY ) Sony Pictures Television is taking over worldwide distribution functions for the "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy!" game shows, alleging CBS Studios' noncompliance with contract terms, news outlets reported Monday.

Sony Pictures sent a letter to CBS on Monday formally informing the Paramount Global ( PARAA ) unit of its takeover of distribution responsibilities for the syndicated game shows, the reports said.

Sony ( SONY ), CBS and Paramount did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
