10:08 AM EDT, 03/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- SoundHound AI ( SOUN ) and Peet's Coffee said Thursday they are collaborating to roll out a voice artificial intelligence-powered assistant aimed at improving in-store operations and customer service across the coffee chain's US locations.

SoundHound's "Employee Assist" technology is now live across Peet's core retail footprint and will expand to all of its US coffee bars, the companies said. The system, internally branded as "BaristAI," enables employees to access real-time information hands-free, helping them answer job-related questions without consulting manuals or interrupting coworkers, the companies said.

The deployment is designed to streamline workflows and enhance employee productivity while improving the overall customer experience, according to a joint release.
