10:12 AM EDT, 08/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- SoundHound AI ( SOUN ) said Wednesday that MUSC Health has deployed Emily, an artificial intelligence agent powered by Amelia Patient Engagement, to optimize its patient appointment management.

MUSC Health is a South Carolina-based academic health system.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.

With the deployment, patients can communicate with Emily to manage their appointments and get answers to non-clinical questions, the voice AI company added.

SoundHound acquired AI software firm Amelia earlier this month for $80 million in cash and equity.
