07:55 AM EDT, 10/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Southern Co. ( SO ) reported Q3 adjusted earnings Thursday of $1.43 per share, up from $1.42 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.34.

Operating revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $7.27 billion, compared with $6.98 billion a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $7.37 billion.
