10:36 AM EDT, 03/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- S&P Global Ratings said Monday that it affirmed its AA long-term financial strength and A+/A-1+ issuer credit ratings on Sun Life Financial ( SLF ) .

This follows revised capital model criteria, S&P said.

The outlook remains stable.

"The stable outlook reflects our expectation that Sun Life will maintain its excellent competitive position in its core markets and very strong financial risk profile," the rating agency said.

The company's stock was up 0.7% on last look on Tuesday.
