12:44 PM EDT, 10/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Spanish Mountain Gold ( SPAUF ) on Monday said it is carrying out further metallurgical tests on ores from its Spanish Mountain Gold Project in British Columbia.
The company said it launched of a particle ore-sorting program with ABH Engineering and a bulk ore-sorting study with OrePortal Technologies. as part of its development strategy for the Spanish Mountain project. Both are aimed at increasing feed grade, boosting gold production, and improving project economics by reducing operating costs.
Earlier amenability tests at the main deposit had shown positive results with X-ray transmission technology, supporting the current work.
"This initiative is part of a multi-pronged strategy to uplift lower grade portions of the resource and improve gold production during the first ten years of the proposed PEA life of mine. We see this as an important step to complete as we advance the project towards the feasibility study and ultimately a build decision by or in 2027," chief executive Peter Mah stated.
Shares of Spanish Mountain Gold ( SPAUF ) were last seen down $0.01 to $0.14 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
