SPC Nickel Starts Drilling on High-Conductivity EM Targets at Lockerby East, Sudbury, Ontario
Oct 23, 2025 6:01 AM

08:45 AM EDT, 10/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- SPC Nickel ( SPCNF ) Thursday said it started its 1,000 metre diamond drilling program designed to test a series of high-conductivity electromagnetic (EM) anomalies located down-dip of its LKE Resource (LKE), on its 100%-owned Lockerby East Property.

The company said targets were defined based on a re-interpretation of downhole geophysical data from several re-surveyed drillholes originally completed by Falconbridge and First Nickel. The target area contains multiple strong conductors over a 1,000 meter plunge or dip length.

"Given that the grade of mineralization on the property continues to improve with depth, the proximity of the target to the past producing Lockerby Mine and the exceptional quality of the conductive feature, this target is of the highest quality for Sudbury-style massive sulphide mineralization," said SPC Nickel ( SPCNF ) chief executive Grant Mourre.

It noted that the Lockerby Depth Zone located 1,500 meters to the east contained an estimated 5.8 million tonnes of ore grading at 2.36% nickel and 1.29% copper. The EM conductors are located less than 100 meters down-dip of the LKE Resource.

Shares of the company closed unchanged at $0.035 on the TSX Venture Exchange Wednesday.
