08:39 AM EDT, 03/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Spectral Medical ( EDTXF ) Thursday reported a swing to a fourth-quarter loss on lower revenues and higher operating expenses.

The late-stage theranostic company reported a net loss of $2.84 million, compared with a profit of $3.2 million, in the prior year period. The loss resulted from increased operating expenses, primarily due to higher fair value adjustments of derivative liabilities.

Revenue fell to $382,000, from $645,000 over the same period.

Spectral, which is advancing treatments for sepsis and septic shock, this week reported the complete results from the Tigris trial in the peer-reviewed journal Lancet Respiratory Medicine. The trial evaluated the use of Polymyxin B Hemoadsorption (PMX) in adults with endotoxic septic shock, providing a more complete picture of patient outcomes, including survival and safety over time.

The publication confirms the previously reported positive findings for the primary and key secondary endpoints, while providing additional analyses on survival, safety, secondary and sensitivity analyses, a statement said.

Shares in EDT were unchanged at $1.46 yesterday.
