Spire Global Awarded $3.5 Million Contract Renewal by EU Meteorological Satellite Agency

07:14 AM EDT, 10/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Spire Global ( SPIR ) said Wednesday that it has been awarded a 3 million euros ($3.5 million) contract renewal by Europe meteorological satellite agency EUMETSAT.

The renewal is part of a two-year operational contract that started on Aug. 14, 2024, the company said.

Spire Global ( SPIR ) said it will continue to provide radio occultation data in near-real time, including vertical profiles of pressure, humidity, and temperature globally, and EUMETSAT will disseminate the information to weather agencies across Europe and to the World Meteorological Organization community.

Spire Global ( SPIR ) shares were up more than 2% in recent premarket activity Wednesday.
