08:40 AM EDT, 06/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Spire Global ( SPIR ) said Wednesday it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Germany's Diehl Defence to develop satellite-based early warning and reconnaissance capabilities for missile defense purposes.

The agreement, signed at the ILA Berlin Airshow 2026, will explore collaboration on space-based intelligence systems designed to detect ballistic and hypersonic missile threats, the company said.

Spire said the partnership brings together its satellite constellation and data analytics expertise with Diehl Defence's air defense systems experience to support broader German and European defense efforts.

Shares of Spire Global ( SPIR ) were down 1.7% in premarket activity.
