Spire Global Wins Multimillion Dollar Contracts From US Air Force, UK Space Agency, NASA

05:47 PM EDT, 08/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Spire Global ( SPIR ) reported late Tuesday it won a $14 million contract from the US Air Force Research Laboratory.

Over the next 48 months, Spire agreed to develop and deploy a cluster of satellites designed to detect and track moving objects on Earth for US defense operations.

The company also got a grant from the UK Space Agency for 3.5 million pounds ($4.64 million) to develop and demonstrate hyperspectral microwave sensing technology in orbit.

Spire also won a $6.7 million contract renewal for 12 months from NASA.
