Spirit AeroSystems Holdings CEO Patrick Shanahan to Receive $28.5 Million Upon Boeing Merger

08:06 AM EDT, 08/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Spirit AeroSystems Holdings ( SPR ) Chief Executive Officer Patrick Shanahan will receive a payout of about $28.5 million after the company completes its merger with Boeing ( BA ) , a regulatory filing on Monday showed.

Under the "golden parachute compensation", Shanahan will get a cash payment of $2.3 million, converted Spirit restricted stock units worth $26.1 million, and perquisites and benefits worth $45,000.

Boeing Chair Steven Mollenkopf asked Shanahan in May if he would be interested in being considered as a candidate for the role of Boeing's ( BA ) president and CEO. Shanahan responded that he would not rule out the possibility, according to the filing.
