07:59 AM EDT, 04/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Spyre Therapeutics ( SYRE ) said Monday that its SPY001 investigational treatment for moderate-to-severely active ulcerative colitis met its primary, and key secondary endpoints in a phase 2 trial.

The biotech firm said SPY001 was generally well tolerated by patients in the study, with no major safety concerns reported so far.

Spyre also said that recruitment for part A of the trial is now closed, while enrollment is open for part B, which includes three monotherapy cohorts.

Shares of Spyre rose by more than 26% pre-bell.
