09:50 AM EDT, 06/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- SS Innovations International ( SSII ) said Monday that its SSi Mantra 3 surgical robotic system was used successfully to perform robotic cardiac surgery.

The company said the surgery involved a robotic Atrial Septal Defect closure, which is a procedure that repairs a hole between the two upper chambers of the heart.

SS Innovations ( SSII ) also said it was the first time the robotic system had been used in the Americas and Western Hemisphere.

Shares of the company were up 5% in recent trading.
