Two procedures were remotely performed, with zero perceptible lag, by bariatric surgeon Mohit Bhandari from Gurugram, India, while the patient and support team were located about 560 miles away at a healthcare facility in Indore, SS Innovations ( SSII ) said.

Shares of the company were up more than 6% in recent premarket activity Thursday.
