06:19 AM EDT, 04/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- SSR Mining Inc. ( SSRGF ) over the weekend provided an update on ongoing recovery efforts at the Copler mine in Turkiye, where a landslide occurred Feb. 13 and trapped nine workers.

Since the incident, the company has been prioritizing the recovery of the missing workers. On Friday, it recovered one body from the manganese pit. The family of the deceased and relevant authorities have been notified, SSR said.

Over 4 million tonnes of displaced material has been removed to date from the Sabirli Valley, manganese pit and heap leach pad.
