Standard Lithium Installs Commercial Direct Lithium Extraction Column At Demonstration Plant
Mar 13, 2024 4:15 AM

06:45 AM EDT, 03/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Standard Lithium Ltd. ( SLI ) , a near-commercial lithium development company, overnight Tuesday said it has installed a commercial-scale direct lithium extraction (DLE) column at its demonstration plant in Arkansas.

The column is a LiPRO Lithium Selective Sorption unit supplied by Koch Technology Solutions LLC.

The column has been installed and integrated with the demonstration plant to test and derisk the design for commercial applications of the LiPRO LSS technology.

It is the same size and design as those the company plans to use in its commercial applications for the Phase 1A and South West Arkansas projects.

Commissioning of the column is expected later this month, the company said.

The demonstration plant is the only large-scale, continuously operating DLE plant in North America and was commissioned in May 2020, Standard Lithium ( SLI ) noted.

The company at last look lost 0.8% in US pre-market trading on Wednesday.
