Stanley Black & Decker Swings to Adjusted Earnings in Q2, Revenue Declines; Adjusts Guidance

07:17 AM EDT, 07/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Stanley Black & Decker ( SWK ) reported Q2 adjusted earnings Tuesday of $1.09 per diluted share, swinging from a loss of $0.11 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.84 in adjusted EPS.

Net sales for the quarter ended June 29 were $4.03 billion, down from $4.16 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $4.02 billion.

The company narrowed its 2024 adjusted EPS outlook to $3.70 to $4.50, from $3.50 to $4.50. Analysts polled by Capital IQ are looking for $3.98.

The company's share price was up almost 6% during recent pre-market activity on Tuesday.
