Stanley Black & Decker's Fiscal Q3 Adjusted Earnings Rise, Sales Fall -- Shares Drop Pre-Bell

06:40 AM EDT, 10/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Stanley Black & Decker ( SWK ) reported fiscal Q3 adjusted earnings Tuesday of $1.22 per diluted share, up from $1.05 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.05 in adjusted EPS.

Net sales for the quarter ended Sept. 28 were $3.75 billion, down from $3.95 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $3.80 billion.

The company said it narrowed its fiscal 2024 adjusted EPS outlook to $3.90 to $4.30, from $3.70 to $4.50 previously. Analysts polled by Capital IQ are looking for $4.20.

The company's shares were down 3% during recent Tuesday premarket activity.
