07:46 AM EDT, 04/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Stantec ( STN ) said on Tuesday that it won a $186-million commission from BC Hydro & Power Authority to provide transmission and distribution engineering and project delivery services for electrical infrastructure in British Columbia.

The master services agreement has an initial term of seven years with a potential total term of up to 20 years.

Under the agreement, Stantec ( STN ) will supply transmission and distribution services and substation design, including electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering services. Stantec ( STN ) will also oversee project management, scheduling, cost control, procurement, and contract management, in addition to materials management, equipment management, and logistics.

The master services agreement is part of BC Hydro's 10-year capital plan to modernize its electrical grid and provide clean energy to communities in British Columbia.

Stantec ( STN ), which slipped 0.7% in US trading on Monday, edged down 0.6% in Canada on Monday.
