07:25 AM EDT, 04/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Stantec ( STN ) , a global player in sustainable design and engineering, on Tuesday released its 17th annual Sustainability Report and announced that $3.9 billion (61%) of its 2023 gross revenue was generated from work supporting core United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). It said this reflects a $500 million increase from 2022, and a $1.9 billion increase since Stantec ( STN ) began tracking SDG revenue in 2019.

The 2023 Sustainability Report also reported that Stantec ( STN ) achieved operational carbon neutrality for the second year in a row.

The company also met the first-year terms of its Sustainability-Linked Loan and donated the accumulated savings to Indigenous-led nonprofits addressing climate action.

Stantec ( STN ) closed slightly higher in US after-hours trade, to US$82.23, having lost 1% in regular trade.
