07:43 AM EDT, 04/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Stantec ( STN ) , a design and engineering company, on Wednesday said it will design a treatment system to remove per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from a high-volume water station-with the goal of providing cleaner and more reliable drinking water.
The company will also provide engineering services during construction for the treatment facility at Vancouver's Water Station 4. It added that the PFAS filter system, whose construction is expected to begin in October, will treat up to 12.2 million gallons per day upon completion, which is expected in early 2028.
Stantec's ( STN ) design will integrate the treatment system into the Water Station 4 site while keeping it functional and maintaining water supply for the City of Vancouver during construction.
Shares of the company closed up 0.04% to $121.0 on Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
