Star Copper Provides Early Season Mobilization Update for 2026 Exploration Program at Flagship Star Project
May 26, 2026 5:37 AM

08:23 AM EDT, 05/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Star Copper ( STCUF ) completed drill pad construction across multiple satellite targets, including Star North, Star East, and Copper Creek at its flagship Star project in northwestern British Columbia, the company said on Tuesday.

"This marks a major milestone ahead of the commencement of exploration drilling designed to test the broader district-scale porphyry potential of the overall Star Project," it added.

Early season drilling aims to test satellite targets and evaluate a district-scale porphyry model, it said. To support the larger 2026 program, camp refurbishment and infrastructure expansion has been completed.

Initial drilling will be followed by 3D induced polarization and magnetotelluric geophysical surveys and follow-up drilling post-IP will allow for additional and deeper targeted drill testing. A second drill rig and crew have been scheduled to arrive in early June, it said.

The company remains fully funded for the planned 2026 program through previously completed flow-through financings totaling more than $12 million, it added.

Shares closed up 5.7% to $0.93 on Monday on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
