06:00 AM EST, 11/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Starbucks ( SBUX ) is facing an open-ended strike by its baristas in at least 40 US cities, media outlets reported Thursday.

The Starbucks Workers United said more than 1,000 baristas at over 65 stores are participating in the strike after both sides failed to reach a collective bargaining agreement, according to the reports.

Workers United is demanding higher wages, improved hours and resolution of hundreds of unfair labor practice charges against the company, the reports said.

Starbucks ( SBUX ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
