Startup Street: Here’s what the startup industry is expecting from Budget 2020
Jan 24, 2020 11:45 AM

In Startup Street’s ‘What’s Brewing’, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi says Uber's move to take a minority stake in Zomato makes sense "as opposed to making two bets alone and competing with each other." Khosrowshahi also adds that the company aims to be the "number one or number two" player in the markets it operates in, rather than "number three or number four.”

OYO is now undertaking a restructuring that will see about 2,000 employees getting impacted. On ‘Hot Seat’, Rohit Kapoor, CEO-India & South Asia at OYO spoke about this move and what the focus will be going forward.

Also, on ‘Hot Seat’, just a week away from Budget 2020, Rehan Yar Khan, Managing Partner at Orios Venture Partners and member of the Indian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, and Rameesh Kailasam, CEO of IndiaTech.org, a startup sector think tank, talk about their expectations from the budget.
