Steelcase Fiscal Q2 Adjusted Earnings, Revenue Rise; Shares Slump After Hours

04:35 PM EDT, 09/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Steelcase ( SCS ) reported fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings late Wednesday of $0.39 per diluted share, up from $0.31 a year earlier.

Four analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.37.

Revenue in the three months ended Aug. 23 rose to $855.8 million from $854.6 million a year earlier.

Four analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $864.2 million.

The company expects fiscal Q3 adjusted EPS of $0.21 to $0.25 on revenue of $785 million to $810 million. Four analysts polled by Capital IQ expect EPS of $0.23 on revenue of $812.1 million.

Steelcase's ( SCS ) board kept the quarterly dividend at $0.10 a share, payable around Oct. 15 to holders of record Sept. 30.

Shares of the company slumped 9.9% in recent after-hours activity.
