Stella-Jones Q1 Net Income Per Share Climbs 32%, Boosted by Higher Sales

07:41 AM EDT, 05/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Stella-Jones ( STLJF ) reported first-quarter net income per share rose 32% on higher sales.

Net income for the three months ended March 31 advanced to $77 million, or $1.36 per share, from $60 million, or $1.03 per share, in last year's first quarter.

The lumber and wood production company said sales increased 9% to $775 million, from $710 million. Excluding the contribution from acquisitions, sales rose 7%.

The board declared a quarterly dividend of $0.28 per common share, payable on June 21.
