Stellantis' Chrysler to Recall Certain 2025 Ram 1500 Pickup Trucks
Oct 30, 2024 10:33 PM

10:26 AM EDT, 10/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Stellantis ( STLA ) subsidiary Chrysler will recall 33,777 2025 Ram 1500 pickup trucks due to problems with the vehicle's electronic stability control system, documents on the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's website showed Wednesday.

"Some 2025 MY Ram 1500 vehicles may have been built with damaged front wheel bearing encoder rings causing a loss of wheel speed signal which may disable Electronic Stability Control," FCA US, formerly known as Chrysler Group, said in a notification posted on the NHTSA website.

"Driving with a disabled electronic stability control system can increase the risk of a crash," the NHTSA said in an acknowledgment letter to FCA US.

The issue affects vehicles built between Oct. 13, 2023, and Aug. 11, 2024, the company said.

The company said it will notify dealers on Thursday and begin informing owners in December.
