03:31 AM EDT, 07/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Stellantis ( STLA ) said Wednesday that it decided to discontinue its hydrogen fuel cell technology development due to market concerns.

The company said it does not expect the adoption of hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles before the end of the decade due to the limited refueling infrastructure, high capital requirements, and the need for better buyer incentives.

Serial production was previously scheduled to start this summer in France and Poland.

The move will not impact the company's workforce, the company said.
