Stellantis Launches Driving System With Hands-Free, Eyes-Off Functionality

09:14 AM EST, 02/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Stellantis ( STLA ) introduced Thursday its first in-house-developed automated driving system that can deliver hands-free and eyes-off, or SAE Level 3, functionality.

The company said STLA AutoDrive 1.0 is ready for deployment across Stellantis ( STLA ) branded vehicles globally.

The system allows automated driving with hands-free and eyes-off functionality at speeds up to 37 miles per hour, or 60 kilometers per hour, the company said.

Stellantis ( STLA ) said the technology provides adaptive cruise control and lane centering functions in Level 2 or hands-on and Level 2+ or hands-off, eyes-on modes at higher speeds.
