Stellantis Recalls Nearly 54,000 Alfa Romeo Vehicles in US Over Fuel Pump Issue
Sep 16, 2025 3:41 AM

06:26 AM EDT, 09/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Stellantis ( STLA ) is recalling 53,849 vehicles in the US due to potentially defective fuel pumps, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Tuesday.

According to the auto safety regulator, the recall affects certain 2017-2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia and 2018-2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio models.

The NHSTA said the fuel pumps may contain parts that are vulnerable to heat, which could reduce fuel supply, cause sudden power loss and increase the risk of a crash.

A remedy is still under development, the agency said, adding that affected owners will be notified by mail starting Oct. 29.
