ROME, Dec 10 (Reuters) - Stellantis ( STLA ) said on Tuesday it
would re-join the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association
(ACEA) from Jan. 1, subject to approval from the organisation's
board.
ACEA has already said it would welcome back the automaker.
Stellantis ( STLA ) had left ACEA at the beginning of 2023. Its
re-entry might flag a more cautious stance for the automaker on
its electrification plans.
"At this important juncture, Stellantis ( STLA ) considers it
important to dialog and develop a shared understanding of the
stakes and ways to tackle them together. Stellantis ( STLA ) believes
ACEA is the right platform to do so," the company said in a
statement.
