07:03 AM EDT, 10/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Stellantis ( STLA ) is recalling 298,439 units of its Chrysler's certain 2013-2016 Dodge Dart vehicles, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Wednesday.

The regulator said the shifter cable may detach from the transmission, preventing the vehicle from shifting into the parking position and causing a loss of park function and may allow the vehicle to rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash.

The safety authority added that vehicles that were previously repaired under recall 19V293 will need to have the new remedy completed.

The remedy is currently under development and interim notification letters, explaining the safety risk, are expected to be mailed Nov. 6, it added.

A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available and Vehicle Identification Numbers involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning Oct. 16, it added.
