Stellantis to Rejoin European Automobile Lobby
Dec 9, 2024 4:26 AM

07:09 AM EST, 12/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Stellantis ( STLA ) plans to rejoin the European auto lobby European Automobile Manufacturers Association it left in early 2023.

"Stellantis ( STLA ), Europe's second largest carmaker, confirms that it intends to apply for membership of ACEA," the carmaker said in a statement cited by Reuters.

Meanwhile, ACEA said it "welcomes" Stellantis' ( STLA ) application to rejoin the association.

According to Reuters, rejoining the association might signal that Stellantis ( STLA ) is backing away from its embrace of electric vehicles.

Stellantis ( STLA ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
