Stellantis' UAW Members at Los Angeles Parts Center Vote in Favor of Strike Authorization

01:33 PM EDT, 10/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Stellantis ( STLA ) workers represented by the United Auto Workers at the carmaker's Los Angeles parts distribution center have voted to authorize the union's International Executive Board to call a strike if grievances over US investments are not resolved, the union said Friday.

The union said this was the first strike authorization vote at Stellantis ( STLA ) since UAW locals started filing grievances against the company in August.

"Stellantis ( STLA ) made a contractual promise to invest in America and we are not going to let them weasel out of it," said UAW President Shawn Fain.

Stellantis ( STLA ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
