02:16 PM EST, 11/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Stellantis ( STLA ) CEO Carlos Tavares did not mention Maserati's electrification plans during a visit to the car brand's plant in Modena, the FIOM-Cgil union said in a statement.

According to the union, Tavares held conversations with workers' representatives at the plant, but failed to confirm whether the company would start production of an electric version of the MC 20 sports car by its planned date of mid-2025.

Stellantis ( STLA ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
