Stericycle Shares Rise After Waiting Period Expires on Waste Management Merger Application

02:33 PM EDT, 09/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Stericycle ( SRCL ) shares were nearly 5% higher in recent Friday trading as the waiting period for its planned merger with Waste Management (WM) under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act expired.

Waste Management shares were down more than 1.5%.

In separate regulatory filings, both companies said they continue to expect to complete the merger as early as Q4, subject to other customary closing conditions including regulatory approvals in Canada and Spain.
