Stifel Canada Raises Bird Construction Price Target to $36, Keeps Buy Rating
Sep 5, 2025 10:24 AM

01:07 PM EDT, 09/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Stifel Canada has raised its one year price target on Bird Construction ( BIRDF ) to $36, from $34, and reiterated its Buy rating.

Bird agreed to acquire Fraser River Pile & Dredge (FRPD) for $82.3 million. "We like the transaction because it expands the company's strategic position in key Western Canadian infrastructure markets, enhances prospective 2026 EBITDA margins by 30 bps, increases potential 2026E EPS by 6.2% and largely retains robust ROCE metrics," analyst Ian Gillies writes.

The acquisition continues to build Bird Construction ( BIRDF ) track record of being a smart and disciplined acquirer of businesses, which Gillies believes Bird should start getting more credit for in its valuation. "We believe the company's valuation remains very attractive at 2026E EV/EBITDA of 5.4x and P/E of 8.4x."
