SAO PAULO, Sept 27 (Reuters) - The global sugar market
is heading to a surplus of 1.96 million metric tons in the
2024/25 season (October-September), following a surplus of 3.16
million tons in the previous season, agribusiness consultancy
StoneX ( SNEX ) said on Friday.
The fresh forecast is higher than the 1.2 million-ton
surplus StoneX ( SNEX ) had previously projected for 2024/25, although
the 2023/24 estimate was lowered from the 4.6 million tons seen
before.
