Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Fiscal Q1 Earnings Rise, Ordinary Income Falls

06:01 AM EDT, 07/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group ( SMFG ) reported fiscal Q1 earnings Thursday of 97.44 yen ($0.65) per diluted share, up from 94.34 yen a year earlier.

Ordinary income for the quarter ended June 30 was 2.444 trillion yen, compared with 2.523 trillion yen a year earlier.

The company said it expects fiscal 2026 EPS of 338 yen.
