Sun Life Names Timothy Deacon as Chief Financial Officer

08:20 AM EDT, 03/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Sun Life Financial Inc. ( SLF ) on Monday announced that it has appointed Timothy Deacon as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer, reporting to Kevin Strain, President and CEO, Sun Life, effective April 8. Deacon will become a member of Sun Life's global Executive Team.

He succeeds Manjit Singh, who is now President of Sun Life Asia. Singh will continue in his role as President of Sun Life Asia and as CFO until Deacon assumes his new role.

Deacon brings over 20 years of global experience in Insurance, Wealth and Asset Management, Investments and Capital Markets. He joins Sun Life from the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan.
