09:16 AM EDT, 06/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- SunOpta ( STKL ) said Wednesday it has completed a $26 million expansion at its Modesto, California facility, increasing oatmilk production capacity by over 60%.

The expansion, which includes an oat extraction production line, adds 167,684 square feet of production space and reduces freight miles by nearly 800,000 annually, the company said.

Shares of the company were up 2.4% in Wednesday premarket activity.
