11:20 AM EDT, 10/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sunrise New Energy ( EPOW ) said Monday its Sunrise (Guizhou) New Energy Materials unit has been granted a patent in "Preparation Method of a Mesophase Carbon Microsphere - Silicon Carbon Composite Anode Material."

The patented technology plays a critical role in the development of solid-state batteries, the company said.

The material shows superior lithium-ion transport, structural stability, and compressive strength, boosting the energy density, cycle life, and safety of solid-state batteries, it added.

Shares of the company were up over 5% in recent trading.
