12:07 PM EDT, 09/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sunrun ( RUN ) said Wednesday that it activated a residential vehicle-to-grid power plant together with Exelon's ( EXC ) Baltimore Gas and Electric unit.

The company said the pilot program used Ford (F) F-150 Lightning electric trucks owned by customers to send power back to the grid when there is high electricity demand.

Sunrun ( RUN ) said that three customers are participating in the program, using a home integration system to send energy from their F-150 Lightning trucks' batteries to their homes and the grid.

From July, the enrolled F-150 Lightning trucks dispatched energy to the grid between 5 PM and 9 PM on weekdays, the company said.

Sunrun ( RUN ) shares were up 1.2% while Exelon ( EXC ) shares were edging 0.4% higher in recent trading.
