11:02 AM EDT, 06/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sunstone Hotel Investors ( SHO ) said Monday it has completed the sale of the 252-room Hilton New Orleans St. Charles for $47 million, or about $187,000 per room.

Sunstone said it will share further details in its Q2 earnings release, including any effect on its 2025 guidance.

The company said that in anticipation of the sale proceeds, it "took advantage of market conditions to fully recycle the proceeds from the disposition into additional share repurchases."

For the year through June 6, Sunstone said it has repurchased 6.8 million shares at an average price of $8.84 per share for a total of $60 million.

Sunstone shares were 1.6% higher at $8.90 in recent trading.
