March 19 (Reuters) - Super Micro Computer ( SMCI ) said
on Thursday that it has placed two employees on administrative
leave and terminated a contractor after the U.S. Justice
Department charged them with conspiring to unlawfully divert
U.S. artificial intelligence technology to China.
"The conduct by these individuals alleged in the indictment
is a contravention of the company's policies and compliance
controls, including efforts to circumvent applicable export
control laws and regulations," Super Micro said, adding that the
company is not named as a defendant in the indictment.
