01:58 PM EDT, 03/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Surf Air Mobility ( SRFM ) said Friday it has reached an agreement to upgrade up to 12 of Tanzania-based Auric Air Services' Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft with its electrified powertrain technology.

The company said that it now has about "13% of the Cessna Caravan market in Africa under agreement to upgrade to its electrified powertrains, once certified."

Surf Air shares were up nearly 5% in recent trading.
