Surmodics Says Court Denies FTC Request for Preliminary Injunction to Block GTCR Deal
Nov 11, 2025 1:58 AM

04:43 AM EST, 11/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Surmodics ( SRDX ) said late Monday the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois denied a request by the Federal Trade Commission and certain state regulators for a preliminary injunction that would have blocked its proposed acquisition by a GTCR affiliate.

The deal's completion is still subject to, among other things, a temporary restraining order under which the parties to the merger agree not to consummate it before Nov. 17, the company said.
