Wind turbine supplier Suzlon Energy said the company is trying to maintain 30-35 percent market share in the wind energy space as it expects to get 10,000-14,000 mw project to come for bidding in CY19.
The government has to do sufficient bidding for 10,000 mw every year, said Tulsi Tanti, CMD of Suzlon Energy.
“There is bidding and on top of it there is reverse bidding and there is a cap for pricing. The cap is not allowing to grow efficiently to achieve the target because those caps are not economically viable to get financing and funding,” Tanti said in the sidelines of Vibrant Gujarat Summit.
Nowhere in the world, where there is transparent bidding and on top of that reverse bidding and then cap, he said.
According to him, banks not ready to finance renewable companies because of the cap on pricing.
