10:18 AM EDT, 10/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota Motor ( TM ) and Suzuki Motor said Wednesday they have agreed to an enhanced partnership under which Suzuki Motor's Indian unit will supply Toyota ( TM ) with an electric SUV model starting in spring 2025.

The electric SUV model will be produced at Suzuki Motor Gujarat in India and will launch worldwide, the companies said.

Suzuki, Toyota ( TM ) and Daihatsu Motor jointly developed the platform for the EV, according to the joint statement.
